Niagara Falls, The American Side
Our favorite area - peaceful, natural and less people

I like this one of the American Falls. I had Pam jump the protective railing
for this great closeup as I'm afraid of heights.
Don't worry, I had a good grip of her right hand.

Below is a shot of the American Falls taken from the Canadian side.
Our first day there was drizzly
Notice the Maid of the Mist down in the forground

The next morning looked better for picture taking.
Here is a shot taken from our Coffee stop

Then we came back a little later in the day when it got brighter.

This is a shot from the Rainbow bridge. American Falls to the left
Horseshoe Falls to the right.

Then We walked over to the American side. Goat Island, a National Park.
It just stopped raining, I forgot to wipe the lens

There....wiped....:-P

This is called "Cave of the Winds"
Taken from the top of the American Falls
Those platforms are rebuilt every spring

A zoomed in shot. The Falls cause a terrific wind, hence,
Cave of the WindsThis is where Joseph Cotton tried to push
Marilyn Monroe into the rapids. I would have caught her for sure.

This was taken from the restaurant we stopped at for lunch.
You can see where I took the last picture from.

From the restaurant - a different angle.
Pam isn't too happy huh?

Pam started her lunch with a cold spiced peach soup
